Umpqua Valley Wine Route

With 30 family-owned and operated wineries, the Umpqua Valley celebrates the pioneering spirit of family farmers and adventure for those who visit. Their history dates back to the 1880s, back when German immigrants planted their first grape wine vineyard in the valley.

Originally these vineyards ranged from 5 to 30 acres, and today they range from 100 to 200 acres – that’s a barrel load of grapes! From wine tours, dining, hiking trails, lodging and other state attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Umpqua Valley is located in the warmer climates of Southwest Oregon just 30 minutes from Seven Feathers, which would make for the perfect day trip! This gorgeous region is home to 40 varieties of wine and experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

Discover each vineyard on your own or choose to go on a Barrel Tour, where guests can enjoy a tour by bus with friends. These tours include sampling wines with beautifully paired foods and learning about the winemaking process. Food pairings are either crafted by vintners or catered locally. Enjoy the breath-taking budding vines, trees and flowers as you ride through in the 100 Valleys of Umpqua.

There are four different tours available, where you can visit five to six locations in the area. What’s most special about these tours is that each guest’s experience is unique; You have the opportunity to visit so many different locations, speak with different winemakers and even a different day in the valley.

With welcoming hospitality and natural beauty, Umpqua Valley is the gateway to many treasured memories. To plan your next getaway, please visit: http://www.umpquavalleywineries.org/
