Yakobi Fisheries LLC is a family owned and operated seafood processing and distribution company located in Pelican, Alaska.
We provide only the highest quality wild Alaskan seafood, working with local, small boat fishermen and community members. Yakobi is majority owned by members of the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians. Although
Yakobi is not located in our traditional tribal lands, we are deeply rooted in tribal culture. Pelican is a small fishing village in Southeast Alaska where Alaska Native culture and traditions live on today and “reflects hard work, perseverance and the desire to be self-reliant.” Similar to our native Cow
Creek heritage. We strive to support family and community.
Many of Yakobi’s employees are Cow Creek tribal members, or Native Alaskan. We also purchase fish from many Cow Creek members, providing them access to global markets for their harvest. We are proud to be members of a rich tribal culture and community. As vendors for Seven Feathers
Casino Resort, we have the opportunity to share our harvest and “trade” with other members of our Native community, but also visitors and guests to our native lands.
